EXTRA HEALING TIPS

✧ Leave your bandage on for a minimum of 4 hours after your tattoo session. If the work was done later in the day, it is okay to leave the bandage on overnight

✧ Gently remove any bandage or wrap! If it is stuck, apply a warm, wet compress or let warm water gently run over the adhesive until it comes off with ease

✧ Always apply thin layers of ointment & lotions. Doing too much product can trap your tattoo and pack bacteria in

✧ After a few days, your tattoo will start to peel. This is NORMAL and you should not pick at or peel any parts of the tattoo. Not letting this loose or peeling skin fall off naturally could result in loss of pigment, scarring or uneven healing

✧ Do not soak or submerge your healing tattoo in water (bathtubs, hot tubs, lakes, pools, etc.)

✧ Do not expose your new tattoo to direct sunlight or tanning lights

✧ Wear loose fitting clothing while the tattoo is healing to keep it from rubbing against loose skin

✧ Use high SPF sunscreen on your tattoo once healed to avoid fading

NORMAL VS NOT NORMAL

✧ During the first few days your tattoo will be a little sore. Be gentle with it, avoid too much movement or use of the area and rest!

✧ Your tattoo WILL itch. Do not pick at or scratch new or healing tattoos

✧ After the first few days, if any redness or swelling occur, the tattoo is warm to the touch, or you have a fever consult with a health care professional immediately

✧ Consult with a health care professional at first sign of any infection
